Maricopa Community Colleges' Music Competition
Each year the Maricopa Community Colleges sponsor a competition for music students to enter in the following categories:
- Composition
- Instrumental
- Piano
- Guitar
- Instrumental Chamber Ensemble
- Female Vocal
- Male Vocal
- Music Theater Solo
Scholarship awards are provided to those students who place in the competition. First Place winners in all categories are also provided the opportunity to showcase their talent in the Artists in Promise event.
Instrumental Competition will be held Friday, February 29, 2008 at Mesa Community College.
Vocal Competition will be held Friday, February 29, 2008 at Scottsdale Community College.

With the exception of the Composition category, applications to enter all other categories of the competition are due to the College Music Coordinators by noon on Monday, February 4, 2008. Composition applications are due by noon on Friday, February 15, 2008.
