The Maricopa Sustainability Day is a great opportunity to showcase student work on sustainability - if your students are working on sustainability projects with respect to social, economic and environmental issues - they can present posters or papers or multimedia projects, give short presentations etc. We will be having a ‘Speakers corner’, where students can randomly pick up a microphone and present about their projects in 2-3 minutes. Please make a note of this date and announce to your students. It will be a great opportunity for students to learn about what other students are doing across Maricopa. We hope that all campuses can be involved in this Maricopa Sustainability Day.

As Mahatma Gandhi once said, "I shall pass through this world but once. Any good therefore that I can do, or any kindness that I can show to any human being, let me do it now. Let me not defer or neglect it, for I shall not pass through this way again." Sustainability is all about improving the quality of life without jeopardizing the future for future generations. As your students are working on different aspects of sustainability, whether it is social, environmental or economic issues, please consider showcasing their work at the Maricopa Sustainability Day.
