The Content System (CS) is an integrated add-on to our Blackboard Learning Management System. The CS adds many new student learning tools and instructor functionalities. It gives us a completely new and easier method in which to manage our courses and course content.

Content System Conveniences

Upload dozens of documents in a single drag and drop motion
Link to one file from several different courses
Update one file with changes reflected in multiple courses
Edit documents without removing and re-uploading
Share files and Learning Objects with your colleagues, students, courses, campus, across the district or with the public
Virtual Hard Drive – a storage or holding area for files and documents under development

Content System Learning Tools

e-Portfolios – students can create portfolios that can be updated across semesters, viewed by instructors, peers, guests and employers, and also be published to websites, CDs, and DVDs
Library – an area where library materials are easily linked into your courses
e-Reserves – an area for copy written material that has been pre-authorized for use
Reusable Learning Object Repository – an area where Learning Objects are stored, cataloged, shared and linked to your courses
Easy-to-use student collaboration and workflow tools
