Workforce Development Dialogue Day
March 5, 2004

Saguaro Room (Instructional Building, Room 111 N/S)
11:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Lunch will be provided.
The Allied Health, Biology, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, and Mathematics Instructional Councils invite you to a BioSciences Dialogue Day. Please come join us for lunch and a chance to meet your faculty colleagues from around the Maricopa District who have been looking into and learning about the developments in Biotechnology, Bioindustry, Bioinformatics, etc.
The action will begin with two scientists from the Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen), who will speak to us about their multidisciplinary jobs. Then we plan to dialogue on the multidisciplinary nature of this rapidly developing new field, and how we can jointly shape quality curriculum in a timely manner. There will be a poster session on the developing projects at our colleges, and discussions on the problems we face as this field develops and we need to create curriculum for it. You are invited because your professional expertise is important to this discussion.
