Global Engagement: The Muslim World
The Maricopa Community Colleges District is pleased to offer our learning community the opportunity for professional growth and global engagement through participating in this faculty development program on Islam. As a one day program, this Dialogue Day is intended to enhance MCCCD faculty with a more acute understanding of the Muslim world, as presented by Abdullahi A. Gallab, Ph.D., and Moroccan historian, Dr. Khalid Chegraoui. By focusing specifically on Islam, faculty will begin to develop an awareness of issues relevant to the Muslim world, including the importance of its culture, political environment, history, and social issues.
This event is part of an on-going focus on Islamic studies within the Maricopa Community Colleges and is sponsored by the Maricopa Center for Learning and Instruction, the MCCCD Office of International & Intercultural Education, Mesa Community College, Paradise Valley Community College, and Scottsdale Community College.
