What is a Dialogue Day?dialogue days in action...
At the Strategies and Technologies for Teaching Students with Disabilities Dialogue Day, Governing Board Member Linda Rosenthal (right) and others watches a demonstration of JAWS, software the reads applications and web pages for visually impaired students. JAWS is but one of several technologies available at all the Maricopa Colleges that were presented and demonstrated. (see Strategies and Technologies for Teaching Students with Disabilities Dialogue Day...) Dialogue Days are opportunities for Maricopa faculty to come together and share ideas on how to enhance teaching and learning. Organized in a variety of modes, Dialogue Days range from simple roundtable discussions to more elaborate "mini" conferences with hands-on or breakout sessions. The key element is that the topics are suggested by faculty and are relevent to current needs of teaching and learning.
