I put a marker at each of the sections that I want as separate parts and then I go for the single frame movie approach. Actually, each section is usually 1 to 3 frames depending on what I'm doing. I like putting a frame before the frame I'm going to loop in and I use this frame as sort of a "landing strip" to set puppet states and other handling that needs to happen before I start looping.
Of course each case may be different. I use performance, time and "ease of editing" as my guide. Many times, using the score is faster than handling the same situation with Lingo and performance is not compromised. However, there also many times where using the score may seem faster until you need to make a major change in functionality. In those cases, it is much easier to make changes to some general purpose Lingo code, than it is to run around the score and cast switching things around. Ickkky. -rb
