Subject: More on MIAWs
I have been following the MIAW threads for a bit now occasionally with a reply to individuals, you know who you are!), so I felt I would offer some global observations for consumption with your morning java....

When problems exist with controlling elements of the MIAW beast there is one axiom I have found ...

The "stage" is god...

When problems arise, Tell the stage to handle it. Tell the stage to set text in the MIAW, tell the stage to install a menu, tell the stage change a palette, tell the stage to...well you get the picture.

Yes this is perhaps a most circuitous path but can prove useful for alerting the stage to what is going on, remember even the gods need to be poked every now and then, be good tho don't want another Sisyphus situation on our hands!

Tip # 345: In Windows movies, after opening the MIAW over the stage, check machineType and issue a moveToFront command on 256 to place the MIAW over the stage.

Hang in there, once tamed the beast is a most pleasant companion.
