Direct-L Listserv Functions for better digestion!
 Below are the basic commands that allow you to enjoy the fruits of the Direct-L listserv without the annoyances of listserv indigestion.

what is a digest? A "digest" contains Direct-L postings for a 24-hour period and can be more managable than getting 100+ individual daily messages. The links below are set up tp create the e-mail messages necessary to subscribe and set up your listserv options.
list settings
modify		 Modify all of your list settings from the Direct-L host site
subscribing
to sign up to the list		 send this message to listserv@listserv.uark.edu:

    subscribe direct-l myfirstname mylastname

unsubscribing
to sign off from the list		 send this message to listserv@listserv.uark.edu:

    unsubscribe direct-l

set to digest
to get one set of
compiled messages
per day		 send this message to listserv@listserv.uark.edu:

    set direct-l DIGEST

undigest
to get all messages
as individual emails		 send this message to listserv@listserv.uark.edu:

to be on the list

best setup Set your list options to NOMAIL and place a web bookmark to DirectorWeb's daily digest and/or search past digests. Our cleaned up versions strip out those unwanted binary attachments, HTML-ized duplicates, and other e-mail parasites.
