Avoiding the White Flash in Projectors

Subject: White screen from the Projector
Several people have written about an anoying "White" screen which appears when you launch a projector. You can have this screen any color you wish, even black. Here's how to do it:

  1. Open your projector in ResEdit
  2. Double-click on the WIND resource
  3. Double-click on the WIND ID #259 "Stage" resource

    A window opens up with several options.

  4. Where it says Color, click on "Custom"
  5. Click on the word "Content" and choose a color from the pop-up palette.
(if you want any color from the Color Picker, go into the "WIND" menu and select the last option on the menu).

Once you're satisfied, save your changes.

Result: The projector will now open it's window with the color you selected and NOT the default White screen.
