Perspectives on Criterion Three: Student Learning and Teaching Effectiveness

The Higher Learning commission’s Criterion 3 states, “the organization provides evidence of student learning and teaching effectiveness that demonstrates it is fulfilling its educational mission.”

Last semester we explored the Institution and Consultant Evaluator Perspective with regard to Criterion Three, this spring we will explore The Higher Learning Commission Perspectives on Criterion Three.

On Wednesday, April 23rd, colleagues from the Higher Learning Commission, Lynne Priddy and Karen Solomon, will lead us through a series of discussions and activities which will focus on direct assessment of student learning outcomes, closing the loop, 'documentation of evidence', and why this is so important.
