In November 2006, Alisa Cooper, Ocotillo Learning Group, will be presenting a Podcasting Series at Glendale Community College. Faculty must register for each session separately. The second and third sessions in the series are "hands-on" presentations. The three part series includes:

Session I

Wednesday, November 1, 2006 Podcasting Theory & Practice
2:00-3:30pm in the GCC Faculty Connections Center (HT2 125)

Session II

Monday Nov. 6, 2006 Creating Audio for Podcasts Using Audacity

Session III

Wednesday Nov. 8, 2006 Making a Podcast

Session I
In Summer 2006, Jill Seymour SMCC and Alisa Cooper SMCC created a Podcasting Wiki with numerous resources. Session I will be an informational session/discussion about the theory and practice of podcasting in education and a discussion of the Podcasting Wiki contents. Participants will leave with a better understanding of what podcasting is, how it can be and is used in education, and what resources are available to aide in creating and subscribing to podcasts.
