One Teacher's AURA-al Approach for Evaluating Web Sites
-------------------------------------------------------
This came across a recent message on a communtiy college/technology listserv:


|  In order to simplify guides to evaluating web sites for my students, I've
|  suggested that they use a mnemonic I've devised called:
|  
|  	AURA
|  
|  	A-Authenticity
|  	  U-"Up-to-datedness" and "Unbiased (as possible) presentation"
|  	    R-Relevance
|  	      A-Avoidance of excessive special effects
|  
|  My students are asked to evaluate potential web sites for use in
|  instructional plans in terms of their "AURA".  AURA is presented as being
|  hierarchical.  If the first "A" is not met, then they should not progress
|  the the "U", and so forth.
|  
|  Designs 1 and 6 appear to meet the second "A".
|  
|  I look forward to working with all on this project.
