Complete the application, one application per course, print out the completed application, and sign.

  2. Contact your FPG advancement representative to review your application. If all is complete and clear your representative can sign for approval.

  3. After your representative has approved and signed, forward the application to the District FPG staff support. This can be sent directly by yourself or by your representative. Keep a copy for your records.

  4. The District FPG staff support verifies the institution accreditation and then submits the verified application to the chair of the advancement sub-committee for review.

  5. The Chair of the Advancement committee reviews the application for approval relying heavily on your description of how this enhances your Professional Growth. Pending further questions, the Chair may contact you or your campus Faculty Professional Growth Representative.

If either the FGP Representative or the Chair of the Advancement committee is unclear about the related professional growth and further discussion with the applicant continues this viewpoint the application may be referred to the full advancement committee for review.

  6. The application is then either approved, tabled, or disapproved. You will be notified by e-mail by FPG District staff support. If approved, notification is sent to Supervisor of Wage and Salary. If disapproved, the applicant will be notified, and may elect to pursue the appeals process.
