What Fees are Fundable?
- Pre-registration or regular registration fees are considered for funding by the Registration Fees Subcommittee. You must pay for membership fees, late fees, and costs of materials, journals, and meals. FPG Travel can fund special trips and events that are part of your formal training or educational focus (example: tour of automated language lab, tour of art museum/facilities or computer facilities) if they are not tourist activities. All of your requests for travel/lodging/meals should be directed to your college travel representative or committee.
- Sponsors of some conferences and workshops specify only one fee for the activity, and that fee might include amenities not normally funded by FPG such as membership fees, late fees, and costs of materials, journals, and meals. If you must pay the same fee regardless of whether or not you utilize the amenities, then the FPG Committee may fund the entire registration fee up to your allotted maximum amount for the year. When meals, lodging, or other services are included in a registration fee, please notify the Travel Representative of these facts and do not include these line items on the Travel Request Form.
- Registration fees have limits based on availability of funds. The amount is dependent on funding and can vary from year to year. For current amounts, visit the FPG web site, or contact your college representative for current maximum amounts that may be funded during a fiscal year.
- If your registration fee is $30 or less it cannot be funded by Faculty Professional Growth. But, your department or Vice President of Academic Affairs might fund your registration fee. Talk to your college representative to discuss alternative funding possibilities.
