Previously known as part-time faculty, visiting staff faculty are those instructors hired on a semester-to-semester contract basis. Adjunct faculty normally are only permitted to teach less than nine load hours per semester. None of the programs or procedures in the Guidelines apply to adjunct faculty (see professional growth information on the Adjunct Professional Growth web site).
