Required Reports for Summer Projects
At the conclusion of your project, you must go to MyFPG: Electronic Forms Center and complete the online Summer Projects Final Report. Login to your account, and you will see a link beside your name to the report form. The report serves as the dissemination and accountability tool for the project. You have spent the summer working on your project and received fees and/or salary for the project. The information in your report will be useful to colleagues seeking future summer project support and also serves as a contact for interested faculty. Use the myFPG Electronic Forms Center to send the report online to your FPG representative who will review your report and may suggest changes. Once your report includes the necessary criteria, your FPG representative will send your report to the FPG chair for final processing.
When is the final report due?
The final report is due on or before September 30. Please submit your online report to your FPG representative for review prior to the deadline so s/he can give you feedback, and allow you ample time for making revisions, if necessary.
Is there a template available for the report?
Yes. Go to myFPG Summer Project Reports. We suggest that you type the information in a word processor, spell check, then copy and paste onto the online Summer Project Report Form. Notify your FPG representative when you have completed your final report and filed it online. S/he will review it online and either accept it or return it to you for revision.
How long does the report have to be?
The report is usually one or two pages. In each section of the form are a series of questions that will guide you while writing each section of your report.
Can one person write the report and submit for a group Summer Project proposal?
No, each member of a group must submit an independent report. The abstract may be the same as other group members, but your experiences and learning are unique to you, and may be far different from your colleague(s).
What does the report include?
- A brief summary of the project
- A statement of outcomes
- A statement of the professional growth obtained
- A description of how the information will be used or disseminated
What if I don't submit a report?
Failure to submit the final report will result in denial of Summer Project funding for the next five years.
