Application Process for Summer Projects
The online system for 2008 Summer Projects will open in January 2008. See the application process for complete details.
Overview
- Go to the FPG Electronic Forms Center to create a new account or log in to complete your online application.
Take advantage of spellchecking and word count tools; download and compose your responses using the Summer Project Draft template (MS Word format). If you composed your answers to the project questions in MS Word, you can copy and paste those responses into the online form.
- Enter the details for your project timeline and any registration fees associated with your project.
- Submit your proposal online to your FPG representative for review.
- Your representative may return it to you for revisions. Submit your final proposal to your college representative on or before noon on the Thursday before Spring Break. If you have supporting documentation that is not available online, submit the printout of your proposal and documentation. All proposals must be submitted online.
How does a group submit a Summer Project proposal?
One person serves as the group leader who writes the Title and Abstract of the proposal, and lists the other group members. These group members will be notified via e-mail and can then log on to the myFPG site to create their own application. The Title and Abstract of all the proposals in the group is identical to the group's leader.
- Each of the group members must submit his/her own application. Other sections of the summer project must be individualized by each participant.
- Each applicant in the group must get his/her FPG representative's acceptance on the finished proposal.
| Each member of the group must submit a final report by September 30. Failure to submit a Final Report will result in denial of Summer Project funding for five years.

What do I need to submit with my proposal if I am attending a conference?
You will need to submit the conference date(s), location, cost, and sponsoring organization. If that information is available on a Web site, include the URL in the Purpose section of your proposal. If you only have a printed brochure, you will need to print your proposal and attach a copy of the event's official brochure/flier. The brochure needs to include location, date(s), sponsor, and cost. Submit your printed proposal and documentation to your FPG representative. Please make a copy for yourself.
| The deadline for application submission to your college representative is noon, the Thursday before Spring Break. |
How do I get feedback before I submit my proposal?
Submit your application to your college representative for review two Fridays before Spring Break. If you submit your application after that date, your college representative may not have time to review your application and suggest possible revisions.
