Program Purpose

The purpose of Faculty Professional Growth (FPG)is to enhance professionalism, encourage excellence in District faculty, and to provide supervision of an incentive program for faculty, while using the utmost care with public money. FPG is designed to recognize and reward in a substantial way the efforts of faculty members as they engage in professional growth activities related to their service to the District.

Program Objective

The Maricopa Community Colleges Governing Board established the District Faculty Professional Growth Committee to supervise the following programs which are reviewed by two sub-committees:

• Salary Advancement and Sabbaticals Review Committee
1. Advancement horizontally on the salary schedule
   (Academic and Non-Academic Advancement programs)
   
   
2. Sabbatical leaves/Professional leaves
   (Sabbatical program)
   
   
• Registration Fees and Summer Projects Review Commiteee
1. Registration fees for conferences/workshops, clinics etc.
   (Registration Fees program)
2. Funding of Summer projects and activities
   (Summer Projects program)
