Salary Advancement for Technology-Based LearningFaculty may earn advancement for technology-based learning (e.g. online or CD) provided that the sponsoring organization assesses the time commitment and issues a certificate of completion that includes clock hours or the equivalent. The technology-based learning should show development that provides growth that will improve teaching or educational leadership skills. If a faculty member takes a technology-based (e.g. online or CD) course from an accredited institution and receives a transcript with credit hours, the request for salary advancement is processed like any other academic course. If a faculty member attends an online conference or workshop, the application for salary advancement is processed like any other conference or workshop.
