January 4, 2002
Phoenix College Bulpitt Auditorium
8:00 a.m.

The Bennetts will present their keynote In Defense of Pluralism: Developing Intercultural Competence, which will be followed by a more extensive and in-depth three-part workshop on Intercultural Competence: The Mindset & the Skillset, with part one offered on the afternoon of the Convocation. (This workshop has been pre-approved for 11 clock hours towards Faculty Professional Growth non-academic advancement.)
As part of the day's theme, the Convocation also includes performances by the South Mountain Community College Mariachi, Vocal Musical Medley of Multi-Cultural Arias performed by Isola Jones (mezzo-soprano) and Henry Rose (piano), and Kawambe Omowale African Drum and Dance Troupe.
