Welcome to the Maricopa Community Colleges' 2003 Faculty Convocation. This year we feature the theme The Engaged Learner: Why Learning is Not a Spectator Sport.

We have a special presentation by Arizona State University's new president, Dr. Michael Crow, and a keynote presentation by Dr. Diane Halpern.

Following Dr. Halpern's keynote address, a buffet lunch will be served outside on the lawn (unless rain forces us inside). Various afternoon breakout sessions (see agenda) will conclude the day's program.

The Maricopa Faculty Developers and the MCLI staff welcome you back and wish you a joyous new semester.
