dynamic discussions
A two hour session offered participants an opportunity to share with each other their thoughts on the future of teaching and learning. Topic areas chosen for the discussions echoed themes that emerged from the Open Space Forum dialogues on learning held at each college. A modified "World Café" approach was used which allowed attendees to participate in all four topic area discussions.

As with the results of the Open Space Forum dialogues, the Convocation 2000 discussion results will be used as catalysts for new initiatives and as springboards to continue the discourse on learning. The District Student Academic Achievement Assessment Committee is already looking at ways to address some of the issues that arose from the discussions and the ACE Leadership and Institutional Transformation Project team will derive topics from the results for future learning dialogues.
