fellowships and exchanges: International & Intercultural Education (I&IE) Australian Faculty ExchangedescriptionThe Australian Faculty Exchange is a two-part exchange of faculty between the Maricopa Colleges in Arizona and the Riverina Institute of TAFE (RIT) and/or Charles Sturt University (CSU) in Australia. Part I. The Program is focused on total immersion into the Australia educational systems and culture through a four-week assignment within the college or university and a homestay for community cultural experiences. Part II. The Maricopa Exchange Faculty will host a faculty/administrator of RIT and/or CSU in their home and will coordinate activities for the guests at their home colleges. Specific assignments will be determined by the faculty selected. Faculty will be expected to incorporate an international perspective into classes upon their return. eligibilityThe President of each MCCD college may nominate one residential faculty for the program each year. Funding is available to support six Maricopa faculty per year. All names and descriptions of their teaching expertise will be submitted to RIT and CSU for the final selection.
