Cantata Mundi will be an original multi-media performance work primarily designed as a high school residency and recruitment opportunity for students in the Maricopa Institute for Arts and Entertainment Technology.

This grant will support the creation of a 60-minute show that will feature diverse styles of singing and dancing from around the world accompanied by a complex video/lighting presentation. The performance will include folk influences from the African, Polynesian, Oriental, South American and European traditions. This grant will be used to fund the hiring of specialists to work with MIAET staff and students to create a work evocative of these various traditions.
