  • Distribution and discussion of demographic information relevant to communities involved in service-learning
  • Mini Lecture Topic: Culture and Intercultural Communication
  • Discussion of the importance of cultural awareness
  • Debrief and discuss implications of culture awareness or the lack thereof
  • Review and conclude. Assign journal topic: How does my cultural identity affect my communication and participation in the service-learning process?
