The Center for Electronic Texts in the Humanities (CETH)
was established by Rutgers and Princeton Universities in 1991 to provide a national focus for those involved in creating, disseminating and using electronic texts in the humanities. CETH's mission is to establish a framework for the use of high quality electronic text resources in the humanities. A program of research on the 'uses and users' of these texts is intended to identify areas for further improvement.
Centre for Humanities Computing (CHC)
based at Oxford University offers details on the various humanities projects and copies of publications.
Institute for Advanced Technology in the Humanities (IATH)
was established at the University of Virginia in 1992, with a major grant from IBM and a multi-year commitment of support from the University, as part of an effort to bring Thomas Jefferson's educational ideals into the twenty-first century.
