1. From classroom teaching to e-learning (Maricopa Skill Center)

In any process of adoption of e-learning is important to understand his elements and the way they interrelate. This work tries to interpret the dissemination of the e-Learning using a definition supported by a graphical language that helps the understanding, step-by-step, of the transition from “Classroom Learning” to “e Learning”. In the last step, the obtained graphic is used in order to reach what we call a strong e Learning definition.

3. Student Bus Passes (Maricopa Skill Center)

The Maricopa Skill Center used its own buses to bring students to school until a new look at the service found it would be environmentally-friendly and budget-smart to utilize the Valley Metro bus system. Now free bus passes give needy students unlimited transportation as long as they have good attendance.
4. Introduction to Culinary Arts Program (Maricopa Skill Center)

The Maricopa Skill Center Food Preparation staff has improved the quality, efficiency, effectiveness, student learning, profitability and creativity of the food preparation program since taking over the Skill Center cafeteria, July 2003. The changes have enhanced and strengthened the Skill Center’s food training program, now called Introduction to Culinary Arts.
5. Maricopa Skill Center Safety Team (Maricopa Skill Center)

The Maricopa Skill Center Safety Team utilizes the talents of its members to check, review, improve, and educate Skill Center staff and students in safety regulations and techniques. Its synergistic approach makes change easier to accept by staff and students; multiple disciplines bring new ideas to old problems and enhance safety awareness.
