1. Stress, Wellness, Research, and Writing: A Metacognative Approach (South Mountain Community College)

Through research and writing, students learned how to reduce and manage stress, and in turn, improving their wellness. This increased wellness contributed to students' personal and academic development. While not a "team taught" class, Thomas Kirsch Rojas of the Counseling department was a frequent visitor.
2. Bridging Intercultural Ravines: Using Adobe Premiere Pro (CS3) to Create Digital Personal Essays (South Mountain Community College)

In Phoenix this summer (5 May through 19 June), I mastered the content of Adobe’s first-rate “Classroom in a Book” on Adobe Premiere Pro (CS3). Now I am able with some facility to use the workspace of Premiere Pro, starting from scratch, to produce the kind of high-quality personal video essays.
3. Learning How to Use Blackboard and Otehr Tools to Create Hybrid Classes (South Mountain Community College)

During my summer, I learned new technology tools and pedagogical techniques required to create quality hybrid courses (i.e. Blackboard, college Learning Management System and other internet technologies).

My summer project was learning the TI-Inspire graphing calculator, its functionality, uses, and utility in a college mathematics classroom.
5. Exploring and Learning Sibelius Music Notation Software (South Mountain Community College)

The purpose of my project was to learn how to use Sibelius Music Notation software compose music on my computer. The end result was to create arrangements for choir and band and to rearrange existing music to meet particular student vocal and instrumental needs.
6. Software Training for Student-Centered Active Learning (South Mountain Community College)

The project allowed me to master the technology related to the TurningTechnology interactive software and hardware systems. I successfully learned this interactive system, with the help of a Turning Point representative, an online class, resources from TurningPoint, and time to work with the system.
7. Learning How To Use Blackboard and Other Tools to Create Hybrid Classes (South Mountain Community College)

This project taught me how to use technological tools and pedagogical techniques associated with the facilitation of online/hybrid/blended learning courses, so that I will be proficient in the use of these tools when creating and offering such courses in Theatre in the future.
8. TI-Nspired for Developmental Mathematics (South Mountain Community College)

To learn more about the TI-Nspire technology, I attended two TI sponsored workshops and completed an on-line tutorial. I researched activities for this technology, created an annotated list for use by developmental instructors and created three notebooks of activities including worksheets.

I wanted to update my knowledge and gain new ideas in teaching microbiology. I attended the annual American Society for Microbiology Education Department (ASMCUE) conference in Beverly, MA for undergraduate microbiology educators. I read and researched current trends and statistics in microbiology.
