A module created for the collaboration between biology and mathematics students. Student research teams use biological, mathematical, and research methods to identify types of blood cell diseases. They make predictions and verify hypotheses using qualitative and quantitative approaches.

I conducted an extensive search of the audio-synchronous presentation software available for use in hybrid and online classes. The best technology solution for me was audio-embedded Powerpoint slides.
4. Learning Game Maker's Apprentice (Estrella Mountain Community College)

The purpose of my summer project was to acquire skills relating to game design and development and to learn "The Game Maker's Apprentice" a leading drag-and-drop software. In addition, research was conducted into the psychology of game design, development, and game playing.

6. Rhythm and Rhyme for ESL: Researching Effectiveness & Learning Applications for Web-based Delivery (Estrella Mountain Community College)

The project consisted of research into the effectiveness of rhythm/rhyme as a teaching method for language acquisition and learning to use software applications (Camtasia, Adobe Presenter, MALTED, TLP, Author Plus, MaxAuthor) for creating web-based activities involving chants/raps.

Savvy Cyber Professor is a professional development series that familiarizes community college faculty with unique and compelling applications of the Internet in science, mathematics, technology education and language arts.
