summary

The SCC Online Weather Station posts current and historical weather information, for in-class use by SCC's Geography Department and for the general public.

details

SCC's Geography Department maintains two weather stations: A permanent one that has been in continuous use since 1994, and the SCC Online Weather Station that has been in operation since Fall 2003. Information from the stations is used in Geography and Meteorology lectures and labs to provide local climate data for exercises.

The SCC Online Weather Station uses a Davis Instruments Vantage Pro weather station to collect data, and the Davis Weatherlink software to upload data to the Web.

The data displayed includes: outside temperature; outside humidity; dew point temperature; wind (direction and speed); barometer; rain level (current, monthly, and yearly); and the solar radiation. Current levels and highs and lows (with times) are provided, as well as line graphs of daily and monthly levels.

This sounds very interesting.

How much historical data do you cover? US only? World? Would such data be available to connect weather with historic battles?
