summary

We have set up a new server that is running the electronic portfolio tool developed at Chandler-Gilbert Community Colleg so other faculty in the Maricopa system can explore this new tool. This package provides some info and access instructions.

details

With input and feature requests from Chandler-Gilbert faculty, programmer Audree Thurman developed a new electronic portfolio tool that has been used widely at Chandler-Gilbert since Fall 2003. They have graciously chared the software, and MCLI now offers the same software to other faculty at Maricopa.

The Maricopa ePortfolio (or "eP") offers an environment to create portfolio items including a home page, documents and templated documents (e.g. exisiting files uploaded directly), collections (descriptions and/or links to web sites or any other media file), a weblog (journaling tool), a calendar, and a slide show template.

The Maricopa ePortfolio Tool - A Solution?
cited Thu Mar 25, 2004 at Auricle
In his recent article Derek Morrison drew our attention to the Maricopa ePortfolio tool. Here I offer a brief overview of what we've found out so far about this interesting initiative and provide some background which explains why all HEIs in particular, and perhaps educational institutions more generally, should be interested in initiatives of this type. Read on if you want to know more.
