General Computer Use

summary

I hope to dispel some of the fears of creating and using databases. Microsoft Access is probably one of the most powerful tools in the Microsoft Office Suite.

details

Learning any database program can be confusing, bewildering and frustrating, all at the same time. I hope to help people learn to use MS Access (we all have it on our computers) and show the value of this wonderful (most of the time) program.

If anyone has suggestions to improve this package, please let me know. I will answer questions to the best of my ability.

My intent is NOT to create databases for anybody, but to provide guidance to those of you who are interested. If you have a "pet project" that others could be interested in learning, perhaps we could do it as a group endeavor.

Thanks,
Butch

A "Shareback" cites the places on the web that mention, reference, or use this MLX package, and "shares" that information back here (more about shareback...)

"With "Are You AFRAID of Databases?", Butch not only has the original list of tips he offered via e-mail, but he also appended a file of the 20+ comments he received (one within 6 minutes of his message) eager for these kinds of tips (an interesting read as an MLX supplement- people are hungry for simple tips for using technology), and a revised/updated copy of his "Database No Fear" document."
