summary |
This grading rubric is used for the essay portion of the four exams given during the semester. This is a broad survey class that covers diverse topics (accounting, management, ownership, ethics, marketing, economics etc). Each exam has two parts. Part One is given using Blackboard and includes multiple choice, matching, and ordering questions. Students are then given two essay questions. The answers should be 2-3 paragraphs and should almost fill a page. |
details |
Balancing traditional test questions along with essay questions requires students recall data as well as apply and think critically. Some students do well with true/false or multiple choice questions, while others shine when given the chance to write. The rubric was created to give to students prior to exams to help them prepare, and to provide improved consistency in grading.
