In this course, the student will study several philosophers, familliarize him/herself with the thinking of each. By participating in several projects, he/she will be able to create arguments on current philosophical questions. He/ she will write a paper to demonstrate skills in philosophical thinking. |

In order to make philosophy an everyday skill, the student will view designated movies with philosophical content. He/she will use a questionaire in order to find the philosophical concept(s).
The student will write a three page paper that identifies the philosophy behind the movie. The paper will confront, and respond wwith a philosophy of life the student develops with a statement and the reasons and evidence that proves the statement to be true and valid.
Such an anaysis guides a student to look at all issues critically and be able to take a stand in response to unfounded arguments, brainwashing, gobbilygook, and political promises. He/shewill bw ble to support clear thinking.
