summary	Estrella Mountain Community College created a Center for Teaching and Learning in the fall of 2000, which serves as the hub for faculty development and technology development for the college. Recognized by the League for Innovation as a “Classroom of the Future,” it was showcased at the League’s Innovation Conference in April of 2001.
details	(This initiative was Estrella Mountain's 2002 Innovation of the Year) Program Description The vision for the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) at Estrella Mountain Community College is for it to be a catalyst for collaboration focused on current and emerging ideas that support teaching and learning. The Center’s mission is to provide a supportive environment for faculty to experiment, explore, develop, implement, and share ideas and experiences for the advancement of student learning. Emphasis is be placed on addressing pedagogical issues, effective use of technology, and building communities of learners. Note!
