summary	The Hybrid Learning Program is an innovative, collaborative, dynamic teaching and learning initiative wrapped around faculty development and collaboration, student learning and best practices pedagogy, and institutional strategic planning that combines the best of online learning and face-to-face instruction creating a renaissance in teaching and learning at Estrella Mountain Community College.
details	(This initiative is Estrella Mountain's 2004 Innovation of the Year.) The Hybrid Learning Program enhances student success, increases access, and provides quality options to facilitate teaching and learning in a flexible environment which leads to the completion of certificates and degrees. The Hybrid Learning Program increases “quality” in the teaching and learning experience for both students and faculty at Estrella Mountain Community College (EMCC) by incorporating best practices in instructional and curriculum design, best practices in teaching and learning in the e-environment, and collegial collaboration and communication to provide a dynamic learning environment. These best practices are incorporated at the student, division, and institutional levels. Hybrid Courses are developed around the EMCC student academic achievement abilities, critical thinking and communication. Demonstrated levels of assessment are an integral part of the hybrid course and program design. Note!
