Allows students to review the anatomy of the circulatory, digestive, excretory, reproductive and respiratory systems of the fetal pig. Users may either view labeled photographs or take an online "practical" exam in which they are asked to identify designated structures. Designed for non-major students. Program runs only on a Windows machine. |

This package was not intended to be used in place of classroom dissection. It was designed to afford students the opportunity to review a typical specimen outside of class time. We still think that there is value in allowing students to observe firsthand the spatial relationships of various organs and the variation that exists between specimens. These experiences are only possible with the opportunity to dissect specimens in a classroom environment. Images included in this online program are digital photos of various regions of the fetal pig. A line drawing of each organ system is also shown. Highlighting on these diagrams indicates the area illustrated in the corresponding photograph to enable users to "get their bearings." Note!
