Assessment and Evaluation of Technology

"How do we know the impact of technology on learning?" is a frequent concern that is challenging to answer.

Assessment and Evaluation emerged as one of the top district issues reported to the Ocotillo Chairs in 1998. After excellent discussion at the may 1998 retreat, a series of forums were planned to carry the issue forward. (see Ocotillo Action Ideas99)

In 1999-2000, the Ocotillo chairs wrked with District Institutional Research & Strategic Outcomes Assessment Office on ideas for a student technology survey. In the Spring of 2001, Ocotillo chair Doug Sawyer arranged to have a survey of former Maricopa students conducted via the staff of Scottsdale Community College.
