| Initiative 1 - New Faculty Experience (NFE) The NFE is a year-long support and discussion group comprised of new full-time faculty (including OSO's and OYO's). The purpose of this group is to provide information, support, and opportunities for dialogue on important issues to new faculty. New faculty usually have lots of questions and often feel lost until they get to know people at their college. The NFE program not only allows the MCC faculty to quickly create a support group of fellow new colleagues, but it gives them an outlet to ask and address their questions and issues thus allowing them to focus more on their teaching responsibilities.
Initiative 2 - Distance Learning Mentoring Group (DLMG) The DLMG meets once each week for a semester to provide support for faculty in the creation of new online courses. Members of the DLMG group learn from other faculty and from each other as they move through the online course design process.
