To Do for Retreat
Main focus of todays meeting was to finalize the Retreat Agenda. Important things for chairs to do include:

• Get final list of retreat team, room-mate preference, and T-shirt size by A1 to Tracy Price before 4/17.
• Chairs have volunteered to pair and lead discussions on first day (see agenda).
  1. Assessment and evaluation - Doug Sawyer and Ted Wolter
  2. Access (remote, student, faculty) - Fred Guadet and Joan Ritsch
  3. Faculty development - Jeanne Franco and Pat Case
  4. Distance learning - Chris MacCrate and Brad Kincaid
  5. Technology staffing (hiring, keeping) - Mary Long & Bob Albury

• Collect summaries of questions under the 5 discussion topics and A1 to Alan Levine before 4/29 so we can compile and print before the retreat.

  4. What is the status of __________ now?
  5. What kinds of data can we collect about __________ on an ongoing basis?

• Each chair agreed to arrange for a laptop computer for note-taking. MCLI will supply flip-chart paper with discussion questions as well as a template computer file for taking notes.
• The evening college focus discussion is now optional (although encouraged!)
• Send names to Tracy Price & Alan Levine of people interested in AAHE/TLTR summer institute (7/11-7-14, Phoenix). The Disitrct can pay the registration fees.
• If you are not returning as faculty chair for next fall, please ask your DI to nominate a new faculty chair.
