The presentation and luncheon will take place Thursday, October 15th, 12:00-4:00 PM at the downtown City Colleges Center (agenda below). For those who attended last year, Interactive Mathematics now includes Basic Mathematics/Prealgebra Lessons. Dr. Phyllis Shaw, Math Faculty at Paradise Valley CC and Donna Tannehill-Gaudet, Math Chair at Rio Salado CC will be available to answer questions about the implementation on their campuses. Interactive Mathematics Technology-Mediated Instruction, Learning and Assessment Academic Systems is dedicated to working in partnership with faculty on campuses to increase student academic achievement. We have developed multimedia, instructional materials for entry-level and college-level mathematics courses, for delivery over the campus network and over the Internet. Results from campuses nationwide show that faculty using Mediated Learning have been able to increase student pass rates and retention rates substantially, while offering more flexible learning environment.
