| What is your discipline and the title of your course? |
| Psychology: Introduction to Psychology
| What makes your course a hybrid? |
| Hybrid in the sense that all course paper documents are on line, use of discussion board, and the labs are internet based.
| What kind of activities do students do in out of class time? |
| Mostly the labs (computer based multimedia exercises)
| Where do your students do their out of work activities? |
| Most do their work at home (on the internet) on their own computers
| What was the reason for offering your course as a hybrid? |
| I wanted to make the whole problem of information management more efficient and more accessible to students. I also wanted to make the lab work internet based so students would not be tied to a computer lab on campus
| How many scheduled f2f meetings are there and how are they scheduled? |
| We still meet f2f the normal number of times per week but I am working toward getting this down to one hour instead of three
| What technologies support your hybrid? |
| Computers, servers and internet connections
| What worked? What did not? |
| Everything worked better than expected except for the virtual chat room. Very few students attended the "night before the test" reviews.
| What would you do over/different? |
| I need to build in more feedback. I need to have some on line quizes and I am working on that.
| How were you supported? |
| My primary support was from summer EDP projects and support staff in IT and the Independent Study Lab
