If you are interested in teaching and learning technology, then we are interested in you joining the Ocotillo team in 2004-2005 as a Faculty Co-Chair of one of the four Action Groups.
Each semester, Action Group Co-Chairs will receive 3.0 load reassign time for the following work related to their specific Ocotillo initiative and Ocotillo activities:
- Assume an active leadership role in engaging other faculty in these initiatives
- Lead research and experimentation in these areas
- Participate in Virtual Kickoff Seminar, Showcase, and Retreat
- Provide useful resources to support faculty implementation of these technologies
- Provide recommendations to District administration and college groups
- Conduct campus visits as needed
- Attend District-level Ocotillo coordination and planning meetings (1-2 per semester)
- Submit Final Outcomes Report

We aplogize for the short time frame for this application, but we realize the decisions need to be made very soon that can affect your teaching load for 2004-2005.
- Decide which action group you are interested in helping to lead. If you have questions about the new Ocotillo contact your current Ocotillo College Chair, General Faculty Chair John Arle (Phoenix College), or Alan Levine (MCLI).
- Discuss this role and the impact of the 3.0 hours per semester with your department chair and/or Dean of Instruction.
- Complete the online application before 5:00 PM Monday, February 16, 2004.
- Deans of Instruction will be asked for feedback by February 19, 2004.
- The Action Group Chairs will be selected February 25 by a committee of 2 Deans of Instruction, the Ocotillo General Faculty Chair, and MCLI leadership.
- All applicants will be notified by February 26, 2004.
