Ocotillo Year Schedule

A general schedule for Ocotillo will include:

Action Group Chairs Meeting (early September) overview, orientation for the year
Virtual Ocotilo Kickoff (late September) Each pair of Action Group chairs will summarize their ideas for the year in a brief video and on the Ocotillo web site. All Maricopa Faculty will be invited to tune in to the videos, and either use an online discussion board or email to contact the chairs of groups that interest them.
Action Group Activities (October - December) Each group will devise its own plan of activities, meetings, etc.
Action Group Chairs Meeting (mid November) updates and feedback
Ocotillo Technology Showcase An open event for all of Maricoopa to see first hand the inovations in technology from across the District. Submissions will be collected online in November, and all "exhibits" will be we-based so those who cannot attend can still learn about them. In addition, the Action Groups will present concurrent sessions to update the attendees on their progress and plans for the rest of the year.
Action Group Activities (January - May) Each group will devise its own plan of activities, meetings, etc.
Action Group Chairs Meeting (late January) updates and feedback
Call for Faculty (February) Based on the input and outcomes of the current groups, Ocotillo leadership will decide which groups continue next year, and what new groups may need to be added. An open call for Faculty chairs will be made for the groups for the following Academic year.
Ocotillo Retreat (May) The annual gathering to update and report on each group's progress and shape their charge for the next year. We may bring in relevant keynote speakers. Action Group chairs, DIs, and college connections invited to a planning lunch the following day.
