Ocotillo Retreat 2002
The Ocotillo Retreat took place May 14-15, 2002 at the Windmill Suites in Tucson, with 121 participants from the Maricopa Community Colleges.
This spring semester, Ocotillo devoted energy in our Ocotillo Technology Visioning Forums, generating ideas about hybrid learning, shared service models, learner-center curriculum planning, and the physical space needs for our future. The visioning continues with the local college planning efforts.
So since we have been probing the future and our vision of it, the question we focus on at our retreat is, "How do we Build it?" Hence, our blueprint theme for the retreat, in which we will focus more on the key areas raised at the forum, and try to generate some plans for it on paper.
Our purpose here is to make sure that the issues of learning and the input from key players-- faculty, technical staff, administrators -- have direct input into the instructional technology and physical planning aspects of the future Maricopa.
