Word Association Activity: About the Words
To better illustrated the range of expecations of our students, a few weeks before the Ocotillo retreat a number of faculty collected some "word association" responses from their students on various terms that are typical "jargon" for college courses or are related to current technologies.
Responses from seven Maricopa colleges were collected on paper or electronically (see the PDF document below). At the Ocotillo Retreat 2003, participating faculty, staff, and adminstrators were asked to do the same exercise. On this site, we present the results side by side, for each word.
