Horizon Wimba (http://www.horizonwimba.com) allows instructors to create discussion boards (voice boards) that enable students to speak their ideas rather than just type them. The intonation and expressiveness that are lost in text-based boards are easily captured on voice boards. They increase accessibility for students with physical and learning challenges and are ideal for language learners. This demonstration will focus on how Wimba is being used to enhance learning in an ESL vocabulary hybrid course at EMCC this semester.
