description:
How do you give students realistic practice with the complex tools found in the technology industry? You simulate them. Simulations can provide an environment where students can learn complex behaviors and skills when it might be impractical or dangerous in the real environment.
This demonstration will show the key components needed to simulate the real environment, support learning and motivate:
Sensory engagement
Corrective feedback
User control
Exploration and experimentation
In addition we will discuss the design and programming issues related to achieving realism and assuring a clean, effective interface.
More details and presentation materials are available in the Maricopa Learning eXchange package for this session.
