description:
Due to the increase in online and hybrid courses, our campus Testing Center was inundated with testing requests for online courses. The volume of these requests was too much for our small Testing Center to process, along with their myriad of other makeup, finals, and state and federal tests. Another resource was needed to meet the need of students. If you find your campus in similar situations come by and see how and what we did to meet the online testing need.
In spring of 2002 the WebCT Testing Center was opened to allow dedicated testing for online and hybrid courses. It has been three years and boy have we learned a great deal. We have moved two times, have had various contracted proctors, and revised our processes numerous times. I will be sharing our process, testing center layout, web resources, forms, statistics from course volume to what days of the week are more popular for testing, plus our future plans.
More details and presentation materials are available in the Maricopa Learning eXchange package for this session.
